As a public body, the Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien is required to be accessible, and its content should reach everyone equally.
In collaboration with Contens Software GmbH, we built the frontend of a new website, advised on UI/UX and worked consistently to WCAG 2.1.
A modern, representative appearance and rigorous accessibility have to fit together. Contrast, focus order, keyboard operation and semantic markup can never be optional extras.
We built a consistent frontend in React, TypeScript and Tailwind and integrated it closely with the Contens CMS, so the editorial team stays flexible without compromising accessibility.
Built to WCAG 2.1 AA, including keyboard operation and screen reader runs.
