Gutenberg Museum
For the Gutenberg Museum, we built an exhibit that makes history tangible: AI turns visitors into a woodcut, and they take their creation home as a print. The interface is intuitive and forgiving, built for everyday museum operation.
Idea
The museum wanted an exhibit that playfully connects centuries of printing tradition with modern technology and works for every age group.
Our answer: a station where you take a photo, let AI turn it into a woodcut motif in the style of historic print graphics, and print it right on site, complemented by an online gallery of the creations.
A friendly touch interface guides you through the capture, no staff needed.
Within seconds, the image is translated into a woodcut motif in the style of historic print graphics.
Visitors choose a motif variant and frame.
The result is printed on site and optionally added to the online gallery.
The styling runs fast and reliably, with no waiting that breaks the flow.
A large, clear interface that needs no explanation and tolerates mistakes.
Robust hardware integration and remote maintenance keep the station stable in continuous operation.
Take a look at more work that's related in theme or technology.
