Figma

Our design tool for UI, prototypes and realtime collaboration.

What is Figma?

Figma is a browser-based design tool where interfaces, prototypes and whole design systems come together in one place. Several people work in the same file at once, see every change live and comment right on the object. What sets it apart is the continuous thread from a first wireframe through clickable prototypes to reusable components and variables. That is exactly what makes it the shared language between design and engineering, rather than a mere picture editor.

How we use it

We design the entire interface in Figma before a single line of code exists, from rough structure to the pixel-precise state of every component. You get clickable prototypes where you experience the flow and give feedback long before anything goes live. In Dev Mode we pull spacing, colours and variables straight into the code, so the design becomes an implementation without loss.

Good to know

Figma variables and component properties map themes and states one to one to how they later look in code. If you use that consistently from the start, you save the tedious rebuilding of half-baked tokens when moving into the frontend.
