Flight routes and displacement are demanding, sensitive topics. The exhibition space needed applications that make this complexity accessible without trivialising it.
We designed and built two interactive applications for visualising and capturing flight routes, along with a Twitter wall, reliably operable during ongoing museum hours.
Geographic data had to be presented clearly on maps while also being captured by visitors themselves, with operation that works without instructions.
Using Vue.js, Mapbox and Leaflet, we created map applications with clear interaction. The content is maintained via Contentful as a headless CMS, and a Node.js/Express layer connects the components.
